Tribute to Skimpy

I've posted on and off about my beautiful boy Skimpy who was such a joy in my life.  He jumped off the roof, climbed a tree and ran through the grass like a rabbit.  He sat up like a chipmonk to see around him.  His world was without as he knew it, limitiations.  I watched Skimpy many times in awe of his couragous little self moving along as best he could.  He was the king of my yard and would even chase other cats away.  He knew no limitations although watching him move along the yard with all his might slowly moving his way with his kinked back and tail.  Walking on his elbows because his front legs never grew out properly and he could not straighten them, never knowing that there was a problem with his body.  He felt no pain,  As I watched him I would think wow, if I only we as people would put our limitations to the side and move along through life with such determination.   He that was dissabled but had no idea he was not like the other cats.  I was so impressed with him.  Skimpy didn't use his dissabilty as an excuse, he just did what Skimpy would do. I think back at what a wonderful positive attitude that cat had.

A few months ago Skimpy dissapeard out of my yard.  I can only imagine what had become of him and don't want my mind to go there.  He was a beautiful boy who taught me many lessons in my life.  I am saddened and heartborken over his dissapearance, surely he has crossed over the rainbow bridge.
He will always be a part of my heart and a lesson in my life to courage and extraordinary will power.  My tribute to Skimpy.  I love you Skimps!!
